ANNOUNCEMENTS

THANKS FROM CARL DERK: Thank you so much for your prayers for my health, some cards that were received, and for your conversations following worship services. I really appreciate all your loving concern for me and for Nancy. I am nearly back to 100% for which I give praise and thanks to our loving Heavenly Father.

BLOOD DRIVE: Donate blood: It only takes an hour, it's convenient, and it is a simple way to make a big difference. Just one blood donation could save up to three lives. You must be age 17 or older, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health to donate. The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive at Oakwood Presbyterian Church on Thursday, July 16 from 12 noon - 6:00 PM. For more information, or to schedule an appointment, call 1-800-GIVE LIFE or make an appointment online at http://www.givelife.org.

2ND QUARTER OFFERING: The 2nd Quarter offering to A Woman's Concern was $397. Thank you for your support of their work in our community. Thank you as well for your contribution to the Baby Bottle Blessings program. A Woman's Concern will provide us with the amount we collected in a few weeks. It is a wonderful blessing to be able to support God's work in our community.

ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL: For the summer quarter, various men will lead us through the video series, "Changing Hearts, Changing Lives" by Paul Tripp and David Powlison; which teaches core concepts of biblical counseling in laymen's terms. This class is held in the Sanctuary.

CHILDREN'S SUNDAY SCHOOL: During the summer months there are two children's classes based on the Catechism. One class is for 3 year olds through kindergarten and the second class is for 1st through 4th grade, which are both held in the fellowship hall. Older students may join the adult class. Teachers are still needed for children's classes for a few weeks in July and August. Help is also needed in the nursery during the Sunday school tour. To sign-up to help please see Hetty Seigfried or call her at 238-7911.

SERMONS ONLINE: MP3 format at http://www.bettsweb.com/sermons/. They are available on cassette tape upon request.
