Worship exists for God. We come to glorify the Lord, to exalt the name of Jesus Christ, and to rest in His grace for salvation. At the center of our worship is the verse by verse preaching of God's Word, the Holy Bible. Oakwood Church sings a mixture of Psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. We partake of the Lord's Supper on the first Sunday of each month; both wine and grape juice are served.

Our worship is 'antiphonal,' that is, back and forth. God acts and we, His people, respond. The following provides a sample order of worship:

Children through second grade are excused during the hymn preceding the sermon for Stepping Stones to Worship, which is a children's ministry that seeks to train children how to worship, ultimately preparing them to join their parents for the entire worship service.

Nursery care is provided for children age 3 and under during the morning worship service and during Sunday school.
